Flares + Forrest

Photography by Joshua Shelton

Hey there beautiful people! I hope you all enjoyed my last blog post on my amazing vacation. If you haven't seen the vlog, go watch it now! Well, the fun is over and it's back to reality. Good thing my reality is just as fun. Today I am sharing another amazing Lookbook with you all captured by my creative photographer Joshua Shelton before my vacation. I wanted to do a super girly and flirty look for you because I realized I often focus on more masculine pieces. To be honest, I do not wear "girly" looks often but every now and then I truly enjoy throwing on a flirty skirt to twirl in. This day was one of those days.

The only new piece in this look is the skirt. I purchased this on sale from Loft a while back. I never shopped at Loft before so one day I pondered in because I saw sale signs. I am so glad I did because I immediately fell in love. They have so many great basic pieces for a pretty affordable price. I feel like this skirt was a good piece to add to my wardrobe and I am always down for a good bargain. Now I usually wear midi skirts but I felt that this skirt was an okay length for me. Usually I can't do mini skirts because of my height. They can make me look a little un-lady like.

Any who, I paired the skirt with this fun flowy sweater to compliment the silhouette. The ankle booties gave me the perfect height for better movement of the skirt. A tall sleek boot would have also worked for this look but I chose to dress it up a little bit. I would say this is a great outfit if you work in retail or are going out on a daytime date. Also note, it is appropriate for office wear depending on where you work just throw on a cute blazer.
