West Coast Vibe

Photography by Joshua Shelton

Hey there beautiful people! We made it to another fabulous Friday. But most importantly, we are only 1 day away from my 20th birthday- yippie! I am so excited for my birthday this year because it is kind of a milestone. Tomorrow, December 12th, I will no longer be a teenager. I've already been paying adult bills for the past few months but the change of age is heavy on my mind. I feel like time is flying by. It literally feels like just yesterday, I was roaming the halls of T.C. Williams HS with my girls thinking life was made. But boy did life have something in store for me. Overall, I can't complain. I am doing well for myself and I have never felt better about myself my entire life. But you all didn't come to hear me rant on and on about my life changes, now did you. Lets jump into this fabulous Lookbook.

So I was feeling very West Coast-ish today and styled this super cool look. The weather in the D.C area is phenomenal today. A bit breezy but truly a beautiful day. I have never visited the West Coast but I would imagine that it would feel like this most days. I know winter is pretty much non-exsistent there but this look is styled in such a way so that you West Coasters can still get use out of the winter fashion.

My favorite piece in this look is the joggers. Would you believe me if I told you I purchased them from Target for $11? Well, I totally did and I wish they had different colors on the clearance rack because I would have purchased them all. These pants are so comfortable, they feel like pajama pants to me. They are the perfect fit as well. The scrunched bottoms are not too tight on the leg but they form to the leg enough to give you that funky MC Hammer pant. The necklace is the showstopper in this Lookbook. When I saw this at Free People Pentagon City, I just new I had to have it. It lays beautifully and it is so unique. I am a sucker for vintage inspired jewelry. Now the crop top and duster sweater were the perfect pieces to finish this look off. As mentioned before, this look is inspired by the West Coast hence the crop top. I would wear this look during the daytime without the cozy duster and as the sun begins to set, throw on this duster for a more modest look.
