DC Fashion Week was such a great experience for me! I met a ton of great people from models, designers, press and more. I have always been asked, "Do you model?". Honestly, I never thought I could. I did not have the confidence nor the body for it (another post for another day). But I decided to try out for DC Fashion Week last minute and I made the cut! Shocked and surprised I was ready to show everyone that modeling is more than what they portray on the magazine covers. This was my first experience EVER with runway modeling. It is way harder than it looks (seriously). We had long days-- some up to 10 hours. Overall, I enjoyed my self and I would most likely do it again! I will say however, that modeling is not a career that I want to pursue. I enjoy being on the runway but personally, it takes a toll on your self esteem. I think I love getting glamorous and dolled up more so than I love actually walking on the runway ;). I hope you all enjoy all of the great photos. If anyone has any more questions about my experience with modeling don't hesitate to ask!

DeleteI am so glad you thought to ask me this question! Overall, I loved all of my looks for DC fashion week and many of the designers as well. My top favorites were Yvonne Jewnell Design, Leighel Desiree and Heydari. Most of the designer's looks were very extravagant (not for everyday wear). However the three designers I just listed have a ton of great and fabulous pieces that you can incorporate in your every day wardrobe. There are links to these designer's websites in the post. I think they are all worth a click! ;)
