Ruth Barzel Fall Lookbook Shoot: Makeup Look

Today started of wonderfully. Early this morning I had a shoot with Ruth Barzel (jewelry designer) and Christen Kinard (photographer). The shoot was for Ruth's Fall Lookbook. You can find most of her pieces on etsy and in local boutiques. The shoot was amazing and the location was even better. We literally had to go on an adventure to get to it. We climbed rocks, jumped over water puddles and so much more. It was loads of fun to say the least. After 3 hours of laughs, giggles and several poses we were all done. Clothes were provided for the shoot. I had to do my own makeup and hair which brings me to this post. I loved my makeup look so much I decided to make a post. Now, I am not a professional makeup artist but thanks to YouTube and many makeup consultations I have mastered a few everyday looks that work for me.

Now you can almost guess that I am wearing the Bareskin foundation as well as the MAC prolong wear concealer. For the most part this look consist of drug store makeup, so this look can be achieved with little cost. The most definition in this look comes from the lips. I am wearing a MAC lip pencil called Cork. This lip pencil is very mute and subtle. It has a brown undertone which is perfect for achieving that "Kylie Jenner lip". This lip color is also one of the colors mentioned in my fall trend alert for super trendy lip colors! For my eyes I used the NYX natural palette. You can find this palette at Target for a very affordable price. I finished the look with a MAC glowing bronzer, highlighter and liquid liner. In my opinion, a little goes a long way with makeup. So I never really go all out with my makeup looks, especially for everyday looks.

Less is more!

  1. Has anyone ever told you that you look like a mix between Solange and Zoe Saldana? Btw if it is not too personal what is your ethnic background?

    1. I love threading! The wax tends to break me out so I have been threading my eyebrows for about 3 years now. It's great.
